Amplifide Presents: Thoughts On Trance 2012

 So a good friend of mine, Nikolai Marti hooked me up with a radio station up in New York called Party Radio USA. They wanted a 1 hour mix of what I like to play, so naturally this was the outcome! This version is the full uncut version which went over an hour, but includes a different final track than the original mixdown. I think i'll do one of these mixes a year. It's a combination of some of my old favorites with some brand new tracks from mid-2012. It should rock your socks off; irrevocably.

Amplifide's TranceMissions Redux (2012)

     TranceMissions Redux is a collection of all my favorite Trance/Progressive tracks from the 2008-2009 era. Right before I started the TranceMissions series there were 3 or 4 mixes containing some fantastic but poorly arranged tracks, so I took the opportunity to compile a collection of my favorites from those mixes and wrap them into one delicious, mixed in key, 25 track mix. The cover design is obviously heavily inspired by the Apocolypse Now Redux poster so I decided to roll with the full movie-like design. This mix highlights the styles that came into play in order to boost Trance Music to it's current sound. These tracks inspired the TranceMissions into being.

       TranceMissions 26 is a collection of the best trance, progressive, and EDM of August 2011. Its got lots of progressive sounds on it which is a nice change from the usual. I absolutely love most of the songs on this mix. On The Wire, Estiva (of course), Ummet Ozcan's Reboot (Its a KILLER), are all some of my favorite tracks of 2011. Amplifide's TranceMissions: The First 2 Years

At last the 2 year mix is done! Took about 30 hours to compile, mix, design, cut, convert, and everything else, but its finally done and uploaded! These are my FAVORITE tracks of each mix (1 favorite from each TMS) and the culmination of all the work Ive put into TranceMissions in the past few years. All in all, Ive put in over 600 hours in listening, mixing, and editing these mixes down for your aural pleasure. Ive learned a lot, and come a long way since I began the TMS mixes in July of 2009.
          Whats yet to come, you ask? Well, keep your ears peeled for Volumes 26-1 Million of course, as well as a few other projects I have in mind. An old school mix, titled Submissions: TranceMissions Redux, will showcase some of my favorite tracks from the mixes I did before TMS began (I actually started recording regular mixes back in 2002). Also, Im super stoked about some new production work that's coming along with my good friends Matt Pickering and Bryan Wright (the 3 of us are RGB). And of course all the support from 128 and Up magazine!

Well, its been 2 years since I started the TranceMissions journey! I've learned a lot and made some really great contacts through the experience with hopefully many more to come!


TranceMissions 25 is the best Trance and Progressive of July 2011. Its got some real smashers on it so crank up that volume! Look for the new one by Tritonal, Dakota, Heatbeat, Brave, and more! I realized that one of my all-time favorites, Yuri Kane's Right Back, never made it onto a TMS so I remedied that on this mix!


Favorite mix? Better Half Of Me into Right Back. Goosebumps every time!!

It was a little tough selecting only 25 tracks since 3 or 4 major albums were released in June. Bobina's Rocket Ride, Susana's Closer Remixes, Orjan Nilsen's In My Opinion, and Allure's Kiss From The Past were all huge albums from not only June, but from 2011 as a whole. This mix was done in Nashville at my friend Nickoli's apartment while helping him work on the layout of his upcoming magazine, 128 and Up. I cant wait till next month for TMS 25!! Its going to be so exciting!

         Wow, April was a HUGE month for new Trance music. There were so many amazing tunes that I just had to get them all out there! So, I decided to make TMS 22 a two-parter. Thats 50 tracks for one month! I arranged the tracks into two 25-track mixes.

TranceMissions 21 is a collection of the best 25 trance tracks (nukes) of March 2011. It includes the newly designed cover fronts as well. TMS 21 has a pretty interesting intro song that's just a little different from what you'd normally hear on TMS and features some heavy hitters like Ferry Corsten - Punk (Arty Rock n' Rolla Mix) and Organ Donors - Moogerfoogin (Randy Katana Remix), as well as some beautifully crafted songs like EDU - Mayday and Smart Apes VS Anna Lee feat. Kate Miles - Perfect 2011 (Anna Lee Summer Edit).
      I initially feared that TMS 21 wouldnt have a lot of good tracks on it while I was listening to the March selections, but was pleasantly surprised that it was tough to narrow down the final 25 tracks from about 35 really great tunes.
